We recently had the privilege of participating in a ceremony, hosted by Loudoun County Chair Phyllis Randall, that honored Mr. Norman Duncan. Mr. Duncan is a 98-year-old World War II veteran and active community volunteer.
Two years ago, Mr. Duncan lost his wife, Elsie, to Alzheimer's disease. Since his wife's original diagnosis, Mr. Duncan has provided support, leadership, and advocacy to caregivers of all types. Mr. Duncan continues to actively serve and lead as the Chairman of the International Caregivers Association. Getting to give him a wooden flag crafted by our team of veterans was an immense privilege.
Flags of Valor is honored to have joined Loudoun County's leadership in recognizing and thanking Mr. Duncan for his lifetime of dedicated service to community and country.
